Default teflon tape

i am currently redoing some stuff on my tank and i am using pvc instead of tubing. my question is if i can use teflon tape on my threads. will the teflon tape harm anything?

As far as I know most teflon tape will be fine to use.
To be sure just look for one that says for use on potable water.
