once I make my cuts the cutted edges are kind of rough, so what I do is use a method some call it heat or torch polishing the cut edges.
it takes a little practice so try it first on some scrap...

I've been a DSB reefer since the early 80, DSB's are great never had a problem you just have to make sure you have a good clean up crew, stay away from sand sifters like diamond gobies and sifting...
