Do you plan on building the sump yourself?

yes i am going to build the sump and tank , sump first to see how good i am then the tank . probably 1/4 inch plexy for sump then 1/2 inch for the tank maybe 3/4 but price just about doubles for 3/4 from 1/2

What are the dimensions of the tank you are planning on building?

tank 48 long 24 wide 30 tall

sump will be around 30 long 20 wide 12-18 tall

On a 30 inch tall tank it might bow a little using 1/2" depending on how you do the top. Are you thinking about doing a Euro-Style Top? Are you familiar with the pins method?

As soon as I get a table saw I plan on doing some acrylic fabrication tutorials on the site.

do you know if the make 5/8 plexy ? or i guess i will have to go 3/4 but at about 800$ a sheet pricy

i'm a contractor so i have all the tools needed but just not the extra cash yet to get some sheets oh and i forgot time might help too
