Default What do you do with your RO/DI waste water?

The eternal question - What to do with all of the waste water generated by our RO/DI units. If you are like me, then you cringe at the thought of pouring all of your RO/DI waste water down the drain. I am alwayslooking for creative ways to use the 75% of water that my RO/DI unit kicks out as waste water. Here are some of the solutions that I have come up with. I would love to hear other creative uses from other hobbyists.
  1. Freshwater Tanks - I have a few freshwater tanks and have never had a problem due to using RO/DI waste water for water changes.
  2. Do some laundry - An excellent use of waste water is to fill your washing machine.
  3. DIY Live Rock - This is one of the best uses I have found. When curing DIY live rock made from portland cement the water needs to be changed quite frequently.
  4. Water the lawn - Use the waste water to water the lawn/garden/flowerbeds.
  5. Leak testing - Use the waste water to leak test your new DIY aquarium or sump.
What are your creative ideas?
