I'm not very good at identifying LPS corals but it looks like a Lobophyllia.
Click on the thumbnail at the bottom of this page and see if it is similar to your coral. - http://www.tidalgardens.com/pages/co...bophyllia.html

Kind of looks like that but mine is one coral (7-8 in. across) with about 10 mouths , tentacles are about 1/4 in. long and clear coloration.and it opens at night along the ridge.

It is some sort of open brain. Possibly a trachyphyllia.

salazar 02-20-2006 09:14 PM

I was kind of leaning towards open brain also.

SPS can be expensive. Are there any aquarium societies locally where you are where you can trade frags?

Some montiporas -

salazar 02-20-2006 09:42 PM

Im in Tucson AZ, frags go for about 30$ an in. here do you sell? or trade

salazar 02-20-2006 09:49 PM

I don't really sell frags I just trade with other reefers. Right now most of my corals large enough to be propagated are in a growout phase from being fragged too much. That's why I don't have very much listed on the site.

I have found a few in AZ. Not sure how active they are or if they have websites.

Arizona - Fish & Reef Aquarium Group (FRAG)
Arizona - Propagators Reef Organization Project (PROP)
Arizona - Sierra Vista Area Reef keepers
