metal halide

i just got another metal halide fixture and i was gonna purchase some new bulbs. has anyone ever had any luck with "xm" bulbs. the last time i purchased a new bulb it wasnt as blue as it should have been. i had a blueline the first time but it blew. i ended up getting one off of ebay and that was a big mistake. does anyone reccomend any brands?? i'm gonna get a 20K 250w and a 20K 175w screw in kind.

The XM bulbs are pretty good. I have used the 10K bulbs before. They are not very blue but produce a good amount of PAR whereas the 20K's are much more blue but put out much less PAR. A lot of people seem to like the Reeflux bulbs although I haven't tried them yet.

I currently use the XM 250W & 175W 20k bulbs and love them. They are really bulb I acutally am using 10k T5s to get some white in there.
