Very nice why did you get him and how much was he......

It's a rare fish in this area... And it was a trade for 1 in PVC tubing from my LFS... 150ft at a rate of $1 so it's a $150 fish... even though I had won on ebay 225 ft for $50 including shipping. So is it really a $150 fish or $50 Fish.... I love ebay...

The colors are extremely gorgeous... the blue shimmers as the fish swim... Just jaw dropping beautiful.

Very interesting fish. I have never seen one before. How big do they get? What are you feeding it? Is it a bottom dweller like most other gobies? Sorry for all the questions.

It's Scientific name is Oxymetopon cyanoctenosum. It's diet is consiting of Brine shrimp and hopefully pellets.

And here's an exerpt from the Fishbase website.

Accoring to WWM they seem to do better in groups and are related to the dart fishes. Do you have any tankmates that could possibly bully it?

D12monkey 03-12-2006 01:52 PM

Only other tankmates is a pair of true percula clownfish. I've already told my LFS to see if they can get another one for him.
