What do you feed your corals?
 

I currently looking at getting a couple of acro and green digitata frags delivered soon. I currently have one sps frag and have not been using anything along the lines of food supplements.

Should I feed these corals anything or just continue to maintain calcium and alkalinity levels? If I should be feeding, what should I use?

A lot of people don't feed and only maintain calcium and alk and never have any problems. Some people swear by what they feed their corals. I think it all comes down to personal preference. Personally I feed Roti-Rich and Cyclop-eeze from time to time and I have noticed better polyp extension in SPS and LPS. Even my mushrooms and ricordea will react by trying to capture the food. The next food type I am wanting to try is fresh oysters. I have read that the "juice" from oysters is very beneficial to corals. As with any food - be cautious of overfeeding.

I feed phytoplankton from DT's once a week.

I like to watch the polyps on my sps' catch Cyclop-eeze, but don't in general feed my corals. Back in LPS days it was fun to feed cynaria corals with various aquarium foods -everything from mysis and brine to daphnia and flake food paste.

I also feed DT's and Cyclop-eeze and think they are both great products.

Ocean Plankton is cool.
 

I feed my Bubble coral small Ocean Plankton.

1. I a small portion of plankton into the cup
2. put about 2 ounces of water from the aquarium into the cup.
3. Soak the plankton in the water until soft. (you can add like alittle bit of vitamin liquids if you want, to boost the feeding)
4. I take a turky baster suck it up and put it near to its "mouth" .

They will love it, not to mention other fish as well.

I have not tried this yet, but many people report positive effects.
