I just witness another exciting event.

:D For the second time since I've purchased my peppermint shrimps I've witness them giving birth to thousands of little babies. What a cool sight.

Have they grown up or did they become fish food?

FragOutpost 03-08-2006 08:53 PM

Sounds like a feast for your fish. :fish:
I remember reading an article a while back on breeding peppermint shrimp for profit.

D12monkey 03-08-2006 08:55 PM

Yup... they had a blast. last time not survived.

Just saw a bunch that made it out of the display tank and into the refugium.

FragOutpost 03-08-2006 09:55 PM

That's good news.

How many peppermints do you have in your tank?

Teeka01 03-08-2006 09:58 PM

Maybe those ones get to grow up.

D12monkey 03-08-2006 10:11 PM

Great article. Though I do not have the time nor the resources to attempt that growout.

Have any babies left?

D12monkey 03-09-2006 06:41 AM

Prob not... But I had seen some in the fuges.

EvilTwin 03-09-2006 06:45 AM

That's pretty cool. Hopefully some of them survive. Your shrimp multiply like my snails apparently do. I've got new egg batches every other day
