After fighting with one of my local LFS that took my payment for a 6 gal JBJ nano deluxe that they were going to be shipping in. I finally got it but it was all busted up during the shipping. I decided to opt out of that tank and save me the approx $110 after taxes on it. I went to Walmart and bought this 2.5 gal tank. Let's see how it works for me. :( I really wanted the JBJ nano. Ohh well this one I can actually keep near my bed. First thing that was done to the tank was to paint the backdrop a royal blue. I also added Livesand from my 55 gal thank that is almost done cycling in it. It's a combination of Light blue, dark blue, black sand, and white argonite sand. The hang on filter is for 5-10 gals tank and it come with an 18 watt incandesant bulb (prob will change with a hello light bulb/ballast). But here's a perliminary photo.

ohh well. This one cost me only 25 so that's more money to invest in the tank.

Here's an update of the tank as of today. I have a mini green carpet, a mini green rose bud anemone, a dime sized linka and a anemone shrimp on some zoos. I also have some deep forest zoos that have not opened up yet, and some firecracker zoos that have not completely opened up yet also.

Lookin' great so far.
Awesome green anemone, but watch out I think those grow pretty big.
Do your clowns host in it?
What kind of lights did you end up getting?
Nice photo of the anemone shrimp on the zoos. Almost didn't see it at first, it is almost invisible!

Yea they do, but so do the rose bud anemone. And no they're not hosting it yet. Hopefully they will. They've been eyeing it though. I got a jalli 18w pc top for it. What a difference it made.

Yea I know. Which is why I'm doing a 30-50% water change almost daily with my reef tank. I'm in the process of returning the pygmy angel to my lfs. Mean fish... Hate him yet love him. LOL

What's the latest update on your nano?

Did you take your angel back yet? I have thought about getting one for a long time but was concerned that it will not get along with my flame angel. Sorry to hear that yours was so mean.

Grr Some one hit my nano and the light fell in. Sent electricity into the water had the Pygmy angel and one of the true percula jump out. :( Everything else is fine.

Great coloration! Is it aggressive towards other fish?

I've had him for about 2 weeks now and since have add another minute Lion (approx 3/4in in size) and it hasn't shown any agression "YET". LOL

I have always stayed away from damsels because of their aggressive tendencies, but your flame damsel is really nice.
Edit: I thought I posted a thumbs up smilie. But they mysteriously turn into thumbs down when I post the reply. Hmmm. Let me see if I can find another. Here we go -

Upgrading the tanks to a 155 bowfront. So need to make room. I might take it to the office and keep it there.
That would be nice.

He is taking down all of his tanks and setting up a 155 gallon tank. I think he said the tank was arriving today.

Too be exact it will only cost $1.75 plus tax daily to run a 500 over a 5 gallon nano.....:notworthy

I will never go back to a bow front tank again except if the wife lets me tear down the wall in the basement i want a custom 500 with the reverse bow in it.

Reverse bows are interesting tanks. I have only seen one before and it housed cichlids.

My dream tank would be a 1000 in-wall long wave tank.

Everything I've read about bowfront and wave tanks makes me think they are a bit overrated. Sure they have some appeal but I would imagine it must make taking pictures very difficult with the curved glass.

Wow that is 1 big tank.

taking pictures very difficult with the curved glass.
That is true but you can learn to compensate for the curvature of the glass.
